If there is something wrong with your iPhone, Apple can come to the rescue(Opens in a new window).

Under normal circumstances, you will take the device to the nearest Apple store or authorized service center to have it repaired. However, during the time of COVID-19, many Apple stores around the world are still closed. What can you do?

There are a few options available right now. You can send the phone to Apple for repair. Staples is still open and offering in-store repairs. If these options don't work for you, independent medical stores may still be open in your area.

Which Option Should Choose?

If your iPhone is still under warranty through Apple, or you have the AppleCare+ protection plan, then you should go with Apple. Covered devices cost $29 for screen-only repairs or $99 for other types of hardware damage.

If your phone is out of warranty and you don't have AppleCare+, a screen replacement

will cost between $129 and $329, depending on your iPhone model. Other types of devices start at $149 for the iPhone 4 and can go up to $599 for the iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Staples is not an authorized Apple service center, so this is a viable option if your phone isn’t covered. At Staples, battery replacement costs start at $29 on select iPhone models. Screen repairs range from $90 to $180.

Some independent repair shops are Apple Authorized Service Providers; many are not. Repair costs vary by store, of course, but are usually lower than prices charged by Apple or Staples.
