WoW WOTLK classic: Wrath Of The Lich King Classic is Getting Quest Tracking Now! Although initially WoTLK Gold, the company stated that automatic quest tracking would not be available in World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic The feature is scheduled to come in "at some point" as per Blizzard.
In the event that Blizzard made the announcement of Wrath of the Lich King Classic in April, the company was confirmed that some features that were added at the conclusion of the popular expansion -- like the quest tracker and the automated Dungeon Finder--wouldn't make it into the game's experience. The reason they didn't include these 2 features is to keep the initial Wrath of the Lich King game's leveling experience, aswell for the social component of the MMORPG which often requires players to communicate with one another and then manually set in dungeons and quests while exploring Azeroth. Instead of being simply given a map of the best places to go and how to do, like in the modern WoW WOTLK classic, Blizzard indicated it would like to preserve WoW WOTLK classic as a distinct experience.
In a post on the forum, Blizzard now says its opinions on the subject have "changed quite an amount" since the first interviews.
"Just wanted to write to let you know that we do have plans to incorporate those quest-tracking features which were introduced to the game in patch 3.3 of the original Wrath of the Lich King into the Quest Log and Map UI at some point in the future," Blizzard writes.
Quest tracking isn't currently available currently in Wrath of the Lich King Classic beta. Blizzard states it is a feature along with other features, such as the in-game calendar as well as the equipment manager, is in active development. It's unclear whether the current plan calls in place for the quest tracker to be in place during Wrath of The Lich King Classic's release or whether it will be added after release. In an interview in early April WoW WOTLK classic director Brian Birmingham said Blizzard wouldn't introduce quest tracking in order to allow players to progress up throughout the expansion, just like they did when the expansion first came out in 2008. If that's still the case that the quest tracker will not be available initially buy WoTLK Gold, but it could be added toward the final phase in the content phase exactly as it was initially.
