Choosing the right type of window dressings at home makes a remarkable difference. But we are aware that there are many different types of blinds/ shutters and sometimes it can be a bit hard to know what to choose. Both blinds/ shutters serve to adjust the light levels as well as your privacy at home, and when it comes to blinds, there are five main types.

  1. Roman Blinds

The roman blinds are a more luxurious version of the ordinary roller binds. These blinds have a thicker fabric with in-sewn rods, which makes them more rigid, even, and elegant. Instead of rolling, like the roman blinds, they fold. If you find it hard to choose between blinds/ shutters, roman blinds might be an interesting third choice. They have a sort of curtain-like look, adding a certain warmth to your interior.

  1. Pleated Blinds

Pleated blinds are another type of fabric blind made with fabric that folds open and closed. They can be made with one or more fabrics and come in versions that attach directly to the window frame without screws. Blinds/ shutters look stunning when installed correctly. 1. Venetian Blinds

Venetian blinds are classic and timeless, available in endless variations and styles. Some are made of metal, often aluminium, and some are made in hard wood or faux wood. If your budget for blinds/ shutters is somewhat limited, you might find that this is your best category.

  1. Roller Blinds

Roller blinds are also a great choice for tight blinds/ shutters budgets, and they are so easy to maintain. There is a remarkable variety of roller blinds out there, including black-out blinds.

  1. Vertical Blinds

A less common type of blinds/ shutters is the vertical blind. They are built on the same concept as venetian blinds, but they are vertical instead of horizontal.

 Extra Effects

 Special Shape Shutters

Some blinds can also have linings for thermal or black-out effects. Blinds/ shutters can be used to regulate temperature as well as light levels, and with the use of thermal black-out fabric, a bedroom can remain pitch black and cool on a hot summer's day.
