Hereditary hair loss, often known as male pattern baldness or androgenetic alopecia, is a hereditary disorder limiting the time that hair actively grows. Hereditary hair loss is an entirely harmless condition. Hair begins to retreat from the temples and hairline, and the crown begins to thin. Hereditary hair loss has no cure. However, therapy can help to decrease or stop the loss.
