Meet our couple, Emma and Ollie. Emma is a make-up artist, and Ollie is a farming contractor, plus they were married around the 25 August in the magnificently named Uckfield, East Sussex. The couple became engaged in February 2018 after finding themselves in a relationship for a year.
Emma finds the effortless boho wedding dress at FeelTimes. I love the striking lace overlay, together with using the long bell sleeves with hand-knotted cotton fringe – it's so cool!
"All their dresses are extremely relaxed and simple to wear, but I loved the backless style with fringed sleeves along with a full skirt and train. It was exactly what I was searching for because it still looked like a marriage dress but bohemian and different. The design within the lace is unique too, which I loved."
On her feet, Emma wore gold sandals having a block heel (a smaller amount chance of sinking into the grass!), and also to accessorize her look, a gold rope bracelet.
Ollie's fantastic three-piece brown tweed suit originated, and they wore had a navy blue tie and white shirt, brogues, along with a tie pin, that was a gift from his mum.
Emma was accompanied on the aisle by her father and chose Cat Power's song, Sea of Love as her entrance music. The couple's ceremony was conducted with a local registrar, plus they kept things simple using their vows, choosing to not include readings to make for any short but sweet and child-friendly ceremony.
The couple gave one another rings, with Emma's chosen at Brighton jewelers, with Ollie opting to put on a ring that Emma had provided to him once they first began dating.
"The favorite part of our day was getting married. It was over in a flash but we loved every minute! I was so nervous beforehand, and I dreaded everyone concentrating on us, but it had been the very best and most heartfelt moment. It was so special."
"We both wanted something very relaxed, as well as for ease, to achieve the ceremony and also the reception within the same place. We desired to make everything as easy as possible for guests who have been traveling to all corners of the globe. Heaven Farm fitted that bill perfectly, as it is a stunning spot where we're able to have both ceremony and reception."
Emma and Ollie's gorgeous, rustic, four-tier naked wedding cake was dusted with icing sugar and adorned with fruit and flowers, made for them by Elizabeth,
"Elizabeth was super professional and lovely! The cake looked brilliant, and was one of the nicest cakes we have ever tasted."
We've featured the job of the photographer also it's wonderful to increase that with her sweet, thoughtful, and natural images from Emma and Ollie's day.
"Kari did a fantastic job. She became our guest and was able to capture a lot of great shots. She always replies to emails fast, too, which is a huge bonus when you're up against time when wedding ceremony planning."
Words of Wedded Wisdom
"Make the wedding about you as well as your partner. Don't get too sucked along with what others want – it's your day ultimately. We ditched lots of tradition – we didn't have speeches or perhaps a first dance, and I worried a great deal about changing the formula, and when others could be disappointed, but I’m so glad that people stuck to the guns and went for completely what we should want."
"So lots of people told us that it had been the best wedding they'd ever been to and that we felt comfortable instead of making ourselves uncomfortable simply to conform and please others."
