Popular and long-running online role-play video game franchise RuneScape will be coming to tabletop gaming through two OSRS gold games due to launch later this year. The developer of video games and the publisher of RuneScape, Jagex, has come together with tabletop gaming giant Steamforged Games to create both games for the tabletop and a board playbook for the roleplaying game, inspired by the rich fantasy world of Gielinor.

Both games are set to launch in 2022, with the board game going live in Kickstarter as well as the TTRPG coming straight to the stores. The games will draw on places, characters and adventures from across RuneScape's rich history of 21 years, with the board game taking one and five players on quest-based missions through Gielinor.

They'll design and build equipment, upskill their characters as well as cook unique recipes. They will also interact with NPCs, and test their talents while exploring various areas around the globe. They will also encounter many exciting side missions to distract and entertain them along their way.

The TTRPG will include a lavishly illustrated, hardback core book containing guidelines for players to play an RuneScape tabletop roleplaying game, where they are able to create themselves characters and explore Gielinor as well as create original and exciting quests. The TTRPG fundamental book is totally compatible with rules of fifth edition of the Buy RuneScape gold tabletop games.
