Cannabigerol, or CBG, is a cannabinoid that works similarly to CBD but is significantly less common in hemp. The scarcity of Bulk CBG Isolate makes it more difficult to extract and thus more difficult (and expensive) for consumers to find, but it is becoming increasingly well-known.
CBG is known as "the mother cannabinoid" and "the stem cell of cannabinoids," and it holds a distinct place among its relatives. Young hemp contains higher levels of CBGa. CBGa is converted to THCa, CBDa, CBCa, and other cannabinoids with molecular carbon tails as the plant matures.
During extraction, these acidic tail molecules are subjected to the man-made process of decarboxylation, which essentially involves the addition of heat. Heat causes a chemical reaction that removes the carboxyl group (removing the carbon atom) and converts it to THC, CBD, and other non-toxic compounds.
Because of this conversion, hemp extractors looking for Bulk CBG Isolate must identify the ideal window before CBG transforms into other cannabinoids. Cannabigerol oil became more accessible as extraction processes improved and experiments with high-CBG hemp genotypes were conducted. However, due to these inherent problems, CBG is more commonly found as an isolate than than a whole-plant extract. Indeed, several major companies combine CBG isolate with full spectrum CBD oil, resulting in everything but full spectrum CBG oil.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF CBG?
We're still figuring things out. Although research into the metamorphosis cannabinoid is in in its early stages, preliminary findings indicate that CBG has similar properties to CBD.
For example, a study on cannabis and MRSA suggests that Bulk CBG Isolate may have antibacterial effects. Many people praise cannabis for their anti-inflammatory properties. A 2013 animal study discovered a reduction in colon inflammation. Other research suggests that CBG may help with inflammatory conditions such as psoriasis and IBS.
CBG research has shown promise in treating illnesses such as Huntington's disease and other neurological disorders, maybe even outperforming CBD. A Leafly post on CBG reported a lab study that compared CBG and CBD for neuro-related issues. While both were beneficial, CBG had superior outcomes in preventing neurodegeneration caused by toxins. Other studies have shown that it has the ability to slow tumour development, reduce MS symptoms, and aid with pain management.
WHAT EXACTLY IS CBG OIL?
CBG oil is a cannabigerol extraction, but it can also refer to an extraction that has been blended with a carrier oil to form tinctures or capsules.
Our CBG Oil Wholesale is available in two varieties: full spectrum oil (returning to store shortly) and broad spectrum CBG Oil Wholesale. Both have high quantities of Bulk CBG Isolate as well as other minor cannabinoids. Full spectrum contains no more than 1mg of THC each bottle, which is the legal limit in hemp, whereas broad spectrum does not. CBG Oil Wholesale, which is pure CBG with no additional cannabinoids or plant chemicals, can also be purchased.
HOW SHOULD CBG BE TAKEN?
If you know how to take CBD, you already know how to take CBG. They are used interchangeably. If you're new to CBD or CBG, you'll see that there are numerous ways to consume it. Here's an overview of the many ways.
Tinctures
The most common method of taking a tincture is sublingual delivery. Before ingesting, place 0.5 to 1 millilitre of oil beneath the tongue for 30 seconds to a minute. The area under the tongue is densely packed with capillaries, which allows active components to enter the bloodstream faster than simply swallowing the solution.
However, taking a tincture without waiting is still effective. CBG tincture oil is delicious in salad dressings, sprinkled on foods, combined in smoothies, or muddled in cocktails.
Isolate CBG isolate also works well in food and beverages. Its lack of flavour is an extra plus. Infusing olive or other cooking oil with isolate or adding it to a dish's sauce is an easy way to cook with it. (Please note that owing to legal differences, our CBG isolate is not available for ingesting in the UK, however you can still purchase it as a dabbing product or as a raw ingredient to manufacture a topical or vape.)
Topicals
CBG has the same effect on the outside of the body as it has on the inside. Apply a few drops of tincture to the skin directly or mix it into your moisturiser. Similarly, isolate can be combined with topical substances to form a CBG Oil Wholesale, cream, lotion, or other skincare product.
Concentrates
Some people prefer vaping or dabbing marijuana concentrates because they are more strong and act faster than other methods. The rapid onset is caused by the fact that cannabis vapour travels faster via the lungs and into the bloodstream than it does when digested by the liver. Our CBD inhalation tanks contain a blend of CBD, CBG, and CBT.
Edibles
People like edibles because they provide long-lasting effects as opposed to the shorter, more intense impacts of vapes and concentrates. This is due to the fact that edibles must pass through the digestive system before the body can use the cannabinoids. Others like edibles because they disguise hemp's earthy flavour. CBG consumables such as chocolate bars and gummies are popular.
CAN CBG MAKE YOU HIGH?
CBG, like CBD, will not make you high. Because of how it interacts with the endocannabinoid system, THC is the only cannabinoid that has a high effect. The ECS is made up of CB1 and CB2 receptors. When triggered by various cannabinoids, the receptors convey information to the body.
THC activates the CB1 receptors that are localised in the brain. CB1 receptors regulate intoxication. When THC connects to these receptors, it causes sensations of euphoria, according to a report on Weedmaps.
CBD, CBG, and other minor cannabinoids are known to activate CB2 receptors. The body has a higher concentration of CB2 receptors than the brain. According to a Healthline article, CBG requires THC to connect to the CB1 receptors. This is why they aren't intoxicating. In reality, CBG and CBD both work to mitigate the euphoric effects of THC.
Cannabinoids work better as a group than as individuals, according to research, a function known as the entourage effect. As a result, CBG and CBD may be more effective when combined. CBG can potentially be used as a replacement for CBD. Cannabinoids interact differently with each individual, so testing with CBG can help you figure out what works best for you.
