Gracie's store was somewhat finnicky due to no catalog, yeah. I suppose it's similar to some of the Animal Crossing Items particular walls and floors from Sahara, and also the end-of-season sales were a fun little quirk.

I have to say, however, New Horizons has good art direction. So many items are really stunning. There are a number of sets which are outright tacky in New Leaf but look great or at least decent at New Horizons.

I meanin New Leaf we didn't even get pumpkin products, besides the wearable hats and the jack-in-the-box! I'm really glad whenever we get these updates, it is really cool to find these things getting back and with all the New Horizons treatment. I can not wait to find out what we're gonna receive in March for Mario items!

I believe two of my biggest disappointments could be my own library and my kitchen. First of all they're far smaller than in New Leaf, so I can not do too much. And there is a lack of items. In New Leaf I had lots of food-like things to decorate my kitchen although to be fair they are in the Welcome Amiibo update.

The 3DS assets definitely would not look nice just being plopped into New Horizons since they are (even the ones in Pocket Camp would probably require some touching up). I am not planning to say it is the same as the entire Dexit scenario, but I do think sometimes New Horizons might have benefitted from a little more polish before launch.

Ultimately it is not the worst thing indeed; the game is still fun for me and the updates are becoming closer and closer to using feature parity with New Leaf. There is plenty of little things here and there that I actually miss from New Leaf (like for example; Fireworks reveals raffle has adorable new fireworks things, but they did not bother bringing back the cute Showa-era Nintendo toy furniture at New Leaf) but as a whole it's definitely still a fantastic game.

For me, my most wanted features are the return of older furniture. As good as the items in New Horizons look, I feel sometimes as that they wanted everything to look like a model house; customizing in New Leaf felt far more personal and real and somewhat less like building a pair for an Ikea catalog. To each their own, of course, but I hardly think it'd be a cheap Animal Crossing Bells poor thing to have the selection of past titles with all the nice new thoughts in New Leaf.
