The education system of the UK is unique with its degree and grading system. So as an international student when you want to study in the UK you must know about the grading system of their education. The grading system of England, Wales, and Northern Ireland are quite the same whereas the Scottish grading system is different. The UK mostly focuses on a student’s academic achievement. If your academic result is above 70%, it will consider the First class.

The second-class degree is divided into 2 categories. The upper second class (2.1 degrees) and the lower second class (2.2 degrees). If you want to enrol in a Master’s degree, you may need an upper second class degree. The second class degree usually consider the grade of 50-70%.  The third class honours degree consider the grade of 40-50%.
