How Do You Use a Blow Molding Machine?
Blow molding machines are used to make hollow plastic products with jwell PP sheet extrusion line. These include bottles, containers, and other similar objects.
The process begins with raw plastic that is heated and formed into a tube called a parison. It is then secured into a mold and air is blown through it to create the desired shape.
1. Plastic Pellets
Plastic pellets are small granules of plastic that are used in the manufacturing of various plastic products. They are typically made from recycled material and they can be either transparent or mixed color.
The majority of the world's plastic production starts out as these pellets. These pellets are sourced from petrochemical companies and they are then transported to plastic manufacturing facilities where they are melted down and molded into the final product.

2. Extruder
An extruder is a piece of equipment that accelerates the shaping and restructuring of ingredients into finished products. It may be a single-screw machine for pellet materials or a twin screw extruder for powder materials.
The extruder melts the plastic and delivers a continuous, pressurized stream to downstream auxiliary tools and equipment that form, cool and harden it into its final shape, then measure, cut, and collect the finished parts (e.g., rolls of plastic film and cut-to-length profiles, pipes, or sheets) so that they can be prepped for shipment.
In the process of blow molding, a hollow tube of viscous plastic is extruded from the extruder into a product mold. A tool called a blow pin is then introduced into the parison, and air is blown in to expand the parison against the walls of the mold.
3. Parison
Blow molding is a process used to make hollow plastic parts. This process is especially useful for making products that require a large volume of one-piece, hollow containers like soda and water bottles.
The blow molding machine is made up of an extruder as well as jwell UPVC/CPVC Pipe Extrusion Line, a head, and a set of molds or platens to hold the parison and the die. The extruder melts the polymer and the head forms the parison through a combination of kneading and heating.
Once the parison has been formed it is sealed into the mold and then air is blown into it allowing the plastic to shape. It is then cooled and ejected from the mold.
In blow molding, the size of the gap between the parison and the die determines the thickness of the product. It is important to control this gap. This is done by adjusting the thermal expansion equipment at the lateral mould ring of the die outlet.

4. Mold
Mold is a form of fungus that grows on plants, wood, fabric and other organic matter. It recycles dead organic material by feeding on it and returning nutrients to the environment.
A mold is made up of millions of thread-like cells called hyphae. They grow into long, intertwining strings and form the main body of a mold.
To use a blow molding machine, you must first choose the type of material to be used. The most common types of plastics are polypropylene, polyethylene, and polyethylene terephthalate with jwell plastic tube pipe extrusion line.
The next step is to determine the best process for making your product. Extrusion blow molding (EBM) and injection blow molding (IBM) are the most commonly used processes.
EBM is the most common, and uses a water-cooled mould to blow a hot plastic tube into shape. Injection blow molding uses the same mould, but the parison is formed by an injection molding process around a core rod or metal shank.
