In the Bible, Jesus tells us to take no thought for tomorrow; that the Kingdom of Heaven reaches hand. He emphasizes residing in today's moment, in the eternal Now. He gives us the main element to peace and eternal life. They are the Heralds of Eternity!

God is pure love, and God really wants to reveal pure love in which everything is shared. “In the holy instant God is remembered, and the language of communication with all your brothers is remembered with Him.” (T-15.VI.8) In the holy instant, we remember God. There is no concealment, and there are no private thoughts, no worries or concerns for future years, or regrets in regards to the past. It's an experience of perfect peace. This is what Jesus is calling us into.

We're asked to let go of our ideas about time. We may have thought that something was missing previously, and we took action to try and correct it, hoping for an improved future. But Jesus is saying, “Don't hope for an improved future. The long run is really a trick! Now's all there is.”

And so we are now asking ourselves the question, what's it all about? What's the purpose because of this world and for my relationships? What's the purpose of time and space? Jesus tells us that today's moment could be the point. course of miracles podcast Our vocation of healing (of the mind) could be the point.

How Practical Is This?

Jesus and the Holy Spirit have an idea for every single and everyone of us. It's very precise, and it's individualized. In each moment, they instruct us where you should go, how to proceed, and who to be with. They instruct us what books to learn, what movies to view, what to consume, and what to not eat. We receive instructions on how best to get our daily bread, when it comes to inspiration and also food, clothing, shelter. The Spirit is indeed practical. Once we give our mind to living and experiencing the holy instant, the Holy Spirit provides everything we truly need in Earth terms.

When there are plans to be made, we are told of them. “You need take thought for nothing, careless of everything except the only real purpose that you'd fulfill.” (T-20.IV.8) In lesson 135, he tells us:

“A healed mind doesn't plan. It carries out the plans that it receives through hearing wisdom that is not its own. It waits until it's been taught what should be performed, and then proceeds to do it. It generally does not depend upon itself for anything except its adequacy to fulfill the plans assigned to it. It's secure in certainty that obstacles can not impede its progress to accomplishment of any goal that serves the higher plan established for the great of everyone.” (W-pI.135.11)
