So you guys could perform a memorial thread one afternoon a week, a fashionista thread another day a week, a'look what I got' day, and a edited screenshot day. Usually bots/auto-moderators can be set up to Animal Crossing Nook Miles Ticket perform this if a mod doesn't want to do it themselves.
That way the most contentious posts: memorials, generic outfit spam,'check this out villager/item I got', and edited screenshots are all relegated to their own area where individuals who wish to view them can, while the main subreddit focuses on other things. Keeping the threads on a bicycle and removing/posting/stickying new ones will be sure they stay clean and people continue to use them.
If people are time-traveling to an event which hasn't released yet then yes there needs to be spoiler tags. The best example of this was the Halloween upgrade when people kept posting screenshots of the carriage they time traveled for. Like I'm fine with seeing someone post bunny day screenshots at this time, because that event released last year so we know what the items are. But if they include, IDK, an arbor day event with fresh things that folks TT to, I would like if they spoiler indicate their articles so that I can choose whether I want to see the articles or not.
It really comes down to choice. Some people do want to find spoilersothers do not. As long as people are able to choose whether they want to see it, I do not think there'll be any problems.
Thank you for the comments. The major thing with megathreads is we've already got two operating in a time (two stickies is the limitation on Reddit): Straightforward codes and questions. Those are just two things that bring a lot of clutter, and there is a max of two slots that are tacky. During the time something else is taking that slot, the questions or code thread for example, wouldn't be observable and it would get very little usage.
A directory thread may work, but frankly, in my view with a massive collection of megathreads is a bit messy/unintuitive.
Another matter with megathreads that rely on pictures, there is no way to comment images at this time, so the consumer would have to upload the buy Animal Crossing Items images off themselves and place it. Which can be a massive hassle.
