A brand new D2R runeword has been revealed...and it's kind of odd.A fresh D2R runeword has been leaked. It's a redesigned version of Plague, a classic runeword that was originally set to release in Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction v1.15 however, it was delayed.

Somehow, Blizzard has changed up Plague's stats quite a bit. Plague's sequence has changed to Cham + Shael + Um, a hefty cost but also an innovative use of the lesser-used Cham rune. The new version of Plague seems to be an prototype that has an extremely specific usage. Everyone is trying to figure why you should pick Plague in lieu of Hoto or even a formidable melee weapon like Breath or Grief of the Dying.

The most notable change is that Plague now uses 3 socketed swords instead of the general weapons. Another change is the addition of -1 on All Skills, and the deletion of +strength, since Fal cannot be used. In addition, enhanced damage was added this is a significant benefit for damage that is raw. The other stats are the same.

Plague was odd at beginningbut had it's uses, possibly even for casters; YouTuber Drunski125 has noted that Plague's usage being restricted to d2r items for sale swords alone is not the best idea.
