Diablo 2: Resurrected Update Brings Back an Old Feature Classic FeatureDiablo II: Resurrected got a new update last week that D2R Ladder Items brought the feature that was originally featured on the very first Diablo II game. That feature is the Ladder system that gives players a chance to battle against other players in a more competitive mode to play through the storyline of the game with the characters they've created.
The Ladder system comes with several different variants and is now available for players to play again or play for the first time depending on whether or not they played original Diablo II or not.
If you played the game that was the precursor to this remake, you'll already have a good understanding of some fundamental features of the Ladder system. It's available as Classic, Hardcore Classic, Expansion, as well as Hardcore Expansion variants with each variant having different rules regarding how many lives players can play with and what content is available.
"Each modes will be equipped with their own leaderboard that allows players to gain experience strategically within the limited timeframe, while also having access to specific content for Ladder," Blizzard's announcement about the launch of their Ladder mode to Diablo II: Resurrected said. "When the Ladder season is over Buy D2R Ladder Items, the leaderboard rankings will be reset and characters will be switched to non-ladder mode, which gives players an opportunity to win."
