Beautician Lucy and frozen treats manufacturer Matt were married on 3rd November 2018 at an extravagant hotel and wedding venue occur Otterburn, Northumberland.
"Matt and I both lived in a tiny town so always knew one another, but we'd never actually spoken. We bonded over our mutual fascination with the mountains and snowboarding and that's where he wound up proposing too. We were engaged just for under 2 yrs before we got married."
"I was very interested in an all-lace dress which was a two-piece. The closest designers I found were Grace Loves Lace and Rime Arodoky and so I traveled right down to London to go to and view the gown I had in your mind, but sadly, the sample had recently been sold."
"Grace Loves Lace had wonderful dresses however they were all one-piece. I headed home defeated and felt I couldn't locate the one I wanted. Eventually, a buddy recommended Catriona and after meeting her, I knew immediately she understood my vision."
"I was apprehensive in the beginning but within the first meeting, she drew my dress perfectly and how I'd imagined it in my head. We also incorporated another skirt I could change into within the evening so I could dance inside it."
Lucy's bridesmaids all looked stunning in matching full-length sage green bridesmaid dresses, complementing the bride's look perfectly. The groom chose a 3-piece suit, combined with a forest green tie and a black pocket watch.
"My father accompanied me on the aisle to some string quartet playing Pachelbel's Canon in D. It's among my history favorite classical bits of music along with a wedding favorite. I've loved it since watching Father from the Bride!"
"My absolute favorite moment in the day was walking on the aisle and Matt turning round to determine me. Once I'd seen him, my nerves disappeared. I wouldn't have changed anything about our day, however, some things annoyed me, not all things have to be perfect. By the time I realized what choose to go wrong, I wasn't bothered."
"I wanted our vows to become personal to us, quirky making people smile therefore we wrote our very own. We wanted our ceremony to reflect our personalities as well as for our guests to enjoy the service without it being boring."
A drinks and canapes reception followed the ceremony before the bride and groom as well as their guests headed indoors towards the fabulously decorated wedding breakfast room. The couple stuck to their theme of greenery and grey accents with tables adorned with foliage and silver sprayed pineapples, whilst white balloons decorated the very best table with the 'Mr' and 'Mrs' types.
Guests were entertained during the day by a magician. The wedding breakfast soon converted into a party using the Singles Table Band starting celebrations and keeping everyone around the dance floor for that rest from the night.
"Instead of the traditional first dance, we've got everyone around the dance floor to bop to Never Forget by Take That. Nothing personal as a result, but both of us love the song and it's a simple dance routine for everybody to get involved with. It was among my favorite parts of the day because the whole wedding ceremony was up around the dance floor."
